Custom Business Platforms

Portals and internal systems built around how you operate

Purpose-built software for workflows that spreadsheets and disconnected tools can no longer support.

When to build

Is it time to build?

The operation has outgrown spreadsheets, shared inboxes and tools that were never built for it. Consider a custom internal tool when an important workflow requires unusual data relationships, or depends on repeated manual handoffs that existing products cannot reasonably remove.

You may recognise this

  • A critical spreadsheet has an owner everyone is afraid to interrupt
  • Status updates are assembled by hand for every meeting
  • A SaaS subscription covers 40% of the workflow and blocks the rest

What we build

One place to run the work

HR systems, shown in our own product

HRive is our in-house HR platform, not a client project. We build and run it ourselves, so every module shown here works.

  • Employee records and role-based access. Each portal shows only what that role should see.
  • Leave requests and approvals. Employees submit, managers decide, HR sees the outcome.
  • Recruitment. Job openings, a candidate pipeline, interviews and offers.

Workflow applications

Software that fits the process

Often the best answer is neither wholesale replacement nor another subscription. Keep the system of record you already pay for and build the thin layer that removes the workaround: a single intake, a queue with ownership, a dashboard that stitches the parts together.

Users in discovery

The people using the platform review terminology, permissions and exception paths.

Build or buy, compared honestly

We compare custom work with configuration and existing products first.

Documented to operate

How the system runs and changes is written down, so your team can operate it.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Anything else, ask us directly. Enquiries are usually answered within one working day.

Can you replace an existing spreadsheet process?

Yes, but the spreadsheet is only part of the problem. We first identify its formulas, workarounds, owners, inputs, outputs and exception paths before designing a replacement.

Will the tool integrate with existing software?

Where supported, internal tools can integrate with CRM, ERP, identity, payment, communication and reporting systems. Integration feasibility is confirmed during discovery.

Is HRive a client project?

No. HRive is our in-house HR platform. We develop it alongside client work, and it shows the kind of internal system we build.

Who owns the code?

Code ownership, repositories, licenses, hosting and handover terms should be stated in the engagement agreement. Vision Bridge discusses these expectations before delivery begins.

Tell us which spreadsheet runs the business

If software is not the right answer, we will say so before any engagement begins.
